Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Trees.......Wait?! Kids decorations and $3.00 Tree Skirt?!

Yes, I know.  I was supposed to post Goodwill Lamp #2 Homemade Christmas Reveal!  Actually, I was supposed to post that yesterday, but let me tell you...I've mentioned before how we're living in a 1400 sq. ft. condo.  More reasons than one, but mainly because the longer we're here, the more our budget for the "forever home" increases.  Goal: be debt free when we move.  I've moved so many times...(every year for 5 years while in college and in Chicago at that...and then to San Diego, then here...not doing it again) that just to think about it makes me sick to my stomach.  The thought of packing, and carrying...ugh!  So, since I refuse to move...EVER AGAIN after this one....we're waiting to find THE house that makes us WANT to move.  Plus, another benefit?!?  NO SHOVELING, NO MOWING, JUST BEAUTIFYING~!  The HOA does all the grunt work, so all I have to do is plant beautiful flowers...or not (if I don't feel like it)...AND there's lots of stuff in the yard that I'm taking with us.  Lots of sentimental stuff from Grandma's house...so, we obviously can't move until we can safely transplant.  Sounds crazy, but there's lots of stuff that's coming!  So, are we busting at the seams?  YES!  Do we have a storage unit?  Or two?  Yes! Sooner than later, we're going to have to...but I'm putting it off as long as I can.  So, HERE'S WHERE I'VE BEEN...AND WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING...

(Yes, the goodwill lamp that's going to be posted tomorrow is in the background of pic #1....and the chair to be revealed is in pic #2) amongst many other projects and future posts.

Yes, that's my garage workshop...and no, it's only HALF of our Christmas Decorations.  Grandma left me all of her Christmas Decor (it was our thing)....so I got a hair up my butt and went to storage this weekend and brought a load back...prolly still have two more to go...  As of now, 4 trees down, three to go.  I know, a little OC...but, the new additions are what you get to see today.  The Peacock Tree, and the Kids' Tree.  I NEED to get the monsters to LOVE Christmas like I do.  How to do that?  Get them a tree just for themselves!!  Here's what their tree looks like...I LOVE it!

I "kinda" made the tree skirt...my budget was like zero...so I purchased a mini tree skirt and used tulle that I had...

And more fun little decorations....I'm 100% sure they'll be "into Christmas"!!!

Then I changed it to this...

And what's a home without a Peacock Tree?  This was Grandma's tree, but I couldn't bring myself to decorate it the way we always did, but I still wanted it out...so this year, I added a peacock tree!!!!!

I made the "tree skirt" for $3.00.  Just got some sparkly stuff from Hobby Lobby and "strategically placed it underneath!"...there are a few things in these pics that will be tutorials for later....but I'm not quite ready yet.  The Steelers Sport Tree is done...but I'm editing the pics.  Maybe tomorrow.  I need to get back to finishing the Goodwill Lamp #2 Homemade Christmas for tomorrow's BIG Reveal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
